~●● SMP NEGERI PROJECT ●●~

I knew how to ride a bicycle and how to swim. I knew that the sum of the interior angles of a triangle is 180˚ . I knew that the force of gravitational attraction between two bodies is proportional to the product of their masses over the square of the distance between them. I knew that my country gained Independence in 1947. I knew all these things. Yet, I was ignorant of the verity that I had many friends... there was just a necessity of opening my eyes; which I did on "23rd of November" !

In this day's scorching daylight, me and my team members (Maria, Esther, Deborah and Sunaina) set out to this yet-concealed-school namely, "Sekolah Enam-lima, SMP negeri". This is positioned in jam-packed city streets of Sunter, but yet its circumvented badly. It appeared to me as if the world was just ensuing egocentrically outside, overlooking the school. The mounting raggedness of the buildings around displayed it all. Well, "We" certainly could not craft a change in the globe outside but indeed we could amend the "Sekolah" to a "School". Finally, with segacity of modesty .. we stepped in!!

The gate was all fine, a tough structure with numerous spiky poles-kind-of at the top. But it did make that creaky noise, warning the school-natives of the massive fun which was on the brink of arresting their lives! LoL. Welcomed by millions of empty stares we started off by posing the "Satpam" of the school for an on-the-spot-appointment with the School's headmaster. Oh yeah, not to forget, the school was meager-graded in English but since 50 % communication was through in Bahasa Indonesia, we did not face " Language Crisis"... since we knew both Bahasa and English. After minutes of lingering and brainstorming our CAS-service-proposal to the sekolah's Headmaster, we finally were able to meet the administrator in-charge ( since the Headmaster was not in the presence).Below are many of the precious moments capsized! The second last and the last photos' set is a scenorio of me and my team members conversing the grounding of our preface. Followed by an other picture where we are in conversation with the headmaster ( Mr. Lioner.Purba.Se) and the co-ordinator (Ms. Anting) respectively.

Seconds passed, minutes passed, and nearly an hour had gone. We were killing the time with all our curio and artistic tinches. Finally we were proffered a full-stop to our "wait-in!" & were instructed to conduct a heart-thrilling-class of 37 students. We climbed three floors sluggishly- chuckling and teasing on the way but when it came to entering the class, we preffered formal faces; cause we were "Ms.- es" now!...... There! " Mar, you go first ya? " I remarked with red-blushes on my cheeks. Hah! There we went...<1> <2> <3> Taan Taadaan! and I lost my own identity! LoL. Like they always say: Action speaks more than words: we were thrilled by the gestures and greetings they loaded us with! For a minute, it seemed like superstars stepping on the red carpet with their fans roaring around them! a perfect 3-D working model! :) It was truly an amazing moment. We (Maria, Sonia, Sunaina, Esther and Deborah) then, introduced ourselves in the simplest english and sweetest words. Then, we moved on to them. They too, introduced themselves and unexpectedly, not in Bahasa, but in English; which was just a little less than perfect. They started off by telling their names, then their respective classes and their aspirations and dreams.. someone said Doctor, someone quoted Policeman, and some voted for VJ's and Teachers. I must admit, it was a class where I could very-well picturize the future of Indonesia! The tomorrow! Besides, studies, we even furnished other subjects like Sports, Entertainment, Recreation and etc.

We discussed every possible issue we could converse on. Many of them asked pretty elegant questions. But yeah, time proved to be a limiting factor then. But contendedly we promised them that our next visit will not leave them open-eyed! And there we finally Bid them GoodBye, assuring them to fetch along with us, even double the cartons of smiles and laughters next time! It was indeed the most happiest day of my life. Not because they glittered on my lips' curves but because I was a reason for their glittering smiles!
